Byzantine bridge and the monastery “St.St.Constantin and Helen”
Byzantine bridge and the monastery “St.St.Constantin and Helen” are located in the beginning of the path to Lyutitsa fortress. The monastery “St.St.Constantin and Helen” is the only one in the Eastern Rhodopes and could be visited by request with a guide from the History museum in Ivaylovgrad. The monastery was built in 13th century and features with its national revival architecture. The Byzantine bridge was built in 15th century on the river Armira which at this place is mostly known as Aterenska river. It served as a connection of the medieval town Lyutitsa with the surrounding area.
